Even verifying the game cahe and reinstalling 5 times I still have 44 files missing (according to Steam). I've just about given up on this game and I haven't even played it yet. I've found support on the game's website as useful as bashing my head into a brick wall until my skull and brains are a mixture of bone dust and pounded flesh. I would really hate to think of it as crappy service from Square Enix, but from my experience so far it's hard to see otherwise.

Any suggestions or any assitance if possible would be greatly appreciated. You cant version check with steam either, cause it will tell you all the time that you are missing files.

The issue is steam checks againts its own cache and not the actual patch server cache. Any game with a patcher is like this.I would suggest you delete the folder for the game located in your documents folder, and then force a check via the patcher.

Doing that though would require you to pay again if im not mistaken.I wouldn't recommend that, steam was my second time paying for it because when I used the main website, it took my money without giving me a digital download key or a confirmation email.
