Unfortunately, this apparently was an exception to the rule at Victoria Park on Saturday night.Social media was flooded with complaints about the poor sound quality, with some revellers comparing the show to an underwater disco and others claiming it was similar to listening your laptop on 50% volume. A half hour into the show, hundreds of people left, commenting that the sound was better towards the back than it was at the barrier. This is a huge shame – The Strokes’ show was a powerful dose of indie nostalgia with a killer setlist, and that being let down by a sound system is very disappointing.
