Thanks for the feedback. As you might imagine, this is a really popular request. Unfortunately, it's not so trivial.The simple answer is 'we're working on it, but it will take a while'.If you want the nitty-gritty technical details, read on!We used to support exporting to the SD card. However, starting from (if I remember correctly) Lollipop, Android has blocked applications from directly accessing the SD card or any other type of external storage. This is for security reasons (external storage is often formatted with a filesystem like FAT that doesn't support any kind of permissions or security model). In a later version (I want to say Marshmallow?) Android introduced a new programming interface for saving to the SD card, but it requires bringing up an OS-provided user interface and allows the OS itself to write the file out.

Unfortunately, the core technology in KineMaster is written in cross-platform native code (it's mostly shared between iOS and Android) so it can't pass the data to Android OS in the way Android needs it for that API. Other apps typically solve problems like this by writing the file to internal storage first, then copying to the SD card. However, for video files that's not a good option (they are too big). We're working on changing the low-level architecture of KineMaster to make it possible to save directly to the SD card.

All video files etc are still held on the internal storage. Switching to SD card for the APK is likely to cause bad performance, but we can't really advise on that at the moment.Currently, our advice is to export as normal, and copy to the SD card using your device's file manager.(The reason for this is Android changed how it deals with calls to the SD card around KitKat, and to take advantage of it requires an entire UI reworking on our part. If that's what you mean, that option only moves the APK file and doesn't affect where the data is stored.Because most SD cards are formatted with something like FAT32 and cannot be properly secured, to protect your privacy and data, Android blocked apps from accessing the SD card starting (if I remember) with KitKat. In a later release (I want to say Lollipop, but I might be wrong) they opened access again, but the way the app has to do it is different (it has to be done interactively in a kind of cooperation between the app's UI and the Android OS every time you save a file in order to prevent unsecured access to the sd card by an app).We've been working hard and have actually finished modifying the KineMaster engine (under the hood) so that it can support this new architecture (where it has to cooperate with the app UI and Android UI).

The next step we have to do is modify the app UI itself. Unfortunately, the entire UX flow from screen to screen in the exporting process isn't compatible with this approach, so the whole export UI needs to be redone. We have a lot of improvements based on what we learned from building the new export UI in the iOS edition, so we will be working those into the Android edition in an future release. But it will still take some time.Unfortunately, Android doesn't make this easy, but their reasons for the change make sense from a security point of view. However if you have or can upgrade to 'Marshmallow' then the following instructions should help you.NOTE: Even with the correct version of Android you still may not be able to as sometimes manufacturers restrict the option.How to turn external SD card into internal storage on 'Marshmallow'.NOTE: Please be sure you start with a blank SD card. It needs to be blank because when the card is converted to 'Internal' storage, it will be formatted (wiped) and encoded (making the cards data only readable by that device).1. Go to device “Settings”, then select “Storage”.2. Select your 'SD Card', then tap the “three-dot menu“ (top-right), now select “Settings” from in there.3. Now select “Format as internal”, and then “Erase & Format”.4.

Your SD Card will now be formatted as internal storage.5. Reboot your phone.NOTE: If you don't reboot the phone, many things may not work correctly, so make sure you do.
