I've only used Immersive Horses and Convenient Horses. Immersive Horses feels clunkier, but I like that it makes the horses you buy from the cities more unique and into 'breeds' similar to Oblivion, and the unique horses actually special.

I prefer it if I am doing a follower-less playthrough. I prefer the horse whistle from Immersive Horses because it seems quicker and, lol, is more immersive - as in, usually the horse spawns somewhere off-camera nearby, and you can hear it galloping up. No summoning it from oblivion.Convenient Horses, like the name, is more convenient. I prefer it when I'm doing a playthrough with followers, mostly because the followers seem to use it more intelligently (as far as calling their mounts goes). I have issues with Immersive Horses and followers, using EFF. My followers just kind of stand around like idiots until I start riding off before calling their horses or mounting up.

With Convenient Horses, they blow their little horns and get on immediately when I mount up, or run to their horses immediately if they're nearby. I don't have to take a few steps, watch and wait, and try and figure out if they're moving towards their mounts.Overall, if Convenient Horses also implemented the same stuff Immersive Horses did re: horse breeds and stats, it would be my perfect mod. I want to love Immersive Horses, I really do, but it just feels like followers are too slow in mounting up and I'm currently on a follower-intensive playthrough. I've used both Convenient Horses and Immersive Horses.

I like Immersive Horses better for a few reasons:1) Trot! Immersive Horses has three speed settings instead of two.

Run always seems too fast to me, so I used to walk everywhere, but trotting is a lot nicer.2) Various included features - the textures, the ability to name the horse, etc. Things I had to add separately as individual mods when I used Convenient Horses3) Not having the any-distance inventory option - I know, I know, I didn't have to use it.

After all, I never use fast travel, even though it's there (well, except in emergencies). But I always set my Convenient Horse inventory to 'anywhere' because I would have forgotten to get the stuff and be at a seller, and remember the MCM. Weak-willed am I when it comes to horse inventory.4) Different horses have different stats, and I like looking at them to remind myself that it's really a unique horse.All that said, I did like Convenient Horses, and if you prefer convenience to realism, it's a good choice.And Immersive Horse Step Sounds. NO QUESTION. I have used both IH and CH, personally I prefer Immersive horses but I use convenient horses as of right now because I'm not a fan of the new textures, they just seem a bit off to me. Does anyone know if I could go into the mod and replace the textures with something else?Regardless I think both mods are great and it really comes down to preference, convenient horses allows for a much more convenient experience as pretty much everything is configurable through the mcm.
